Reality TV: The rise of CCTV surveillance

One of my documentary photography projects…
"When no one was looking, we became the most watched country on earth"
A graphic black and white documentary photo series that captures the moment that CCTV surveillance became all encompassing. The photographs are accompanied by an essay that analyses the political and social background to rise of CCTV. The book mixes humour and polemics.
Exhibited in 2010 at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre, where they accompanied a stage adaptation of George Orwell's '1984'. and in 2012 at Salford Museum and Art Gallery as part of my exhibition '1984 Looks Like This'.
Two books 'Reality TV' and 'Cover Up: The Cover Design of Orwell's 1984' are both available as free pdf downloads in my Shop
