France and the USA have much more in common than either regularly admits to, not least of which is Tom Paine. Here, in the middle of the Seine, is a Statue of Liberty which I photographed last month. I believe there is one in New York as well, and I have seen an Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas and used the loos in McDonald’s on the Champs-Elysee. Freedom fries yummy.
